Equestrians Maintain Regional Lead

The Albion College equestrian hunt seat team dominated nearly all the flat divisions to finish as the reserve champion high point team in the Oct. 12 show at Western Michigan University.

The Britons also maintained their lead in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association's regional standings.

Senior Brittney Stanton brought home the blue ribbon in her open flat class. And the novice flat level was dominated by Britons with wins by sophomores Claire Tillman and Ann Armstrong and first-year rider Sienna Mendina.

Not to be outdone, the beginner walk-trot-canter division was led by first-year rider Emily Galka. And the beginner walk-trot was the grand finale of the competition with a win by first-year rider Megan Brown.
