The Banana Slugs got the first goal 13 seconds into the second half. Jacob Myers Norys was one-on-one against Albion goalkeeper Maximilian Loria after receiving a pass from Cole Fox.
Albion picked up the intensity as it tried to score the equalizer. However, Keith McCarty tacked on another goal for UCSC in the 79th minute.
Both teams took ten shots in the game, with the Banana Slugs having the slight edge on shots on goal (6-4).
Albion, now 2-1-2 against non-league rivals, will travel to Ohio on Friday for a match against Wittenberg University.
