Albion announces 18-19 women's basketball schedule

The Albion College women's basketball team has won 18 games in each of the last two seasons and the Britons will look to continue that success when the 2018-2019 season officially tips off with a Nov. 13 game at Defiance (Ohio) College.

After playing in tournaments at Manchester (Ind.) University and North Park (Ill.) University, Albion will make its home debut and tip-off the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association portion of the schedule Nov. 28 against Olivet College.

The Britons also have December home dates against MIAA rival Saint Mary's College (Dec. 5) and Franklin (Ind.) College (Dec. 19).

Albion will travel to Tennessee in December for a Dec. 30 game against Maryville College.

The schedule of home dates against MIAA rivals in January and February includes: Adrian College (Jan. 5), Calvin College (Jan. 9), Hope College (Jan. 23), Alma College (Feb. 6), Trine University (Feb. 9) and Kalamazoo College (Feb. 13).

Albion will take a break from MIAA play Jan. 25 for a home game against Finlandia University.

Head Coach Doreen Carden will begin her 18th season three all-MIAA performers on the roster. Evelyn Wischmeyer and Rain Hinton were first and second team picks, respectively, in 2018, while Emily Bernas achieved a second team award in 2017.
