Thomas Sets School Long Jump Record

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Albion College athletes Nia Thomas and Alison Snyder did not show signs of fatigue as they competed at North Central College just a week after the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championship.

Thomas, a sophomore, achieved the school record in the long jump with a performance of 18' 4 ¼". She improved on Kristin Nelson's 2013 mark (18' 1") by more than three inches.

Snyder, a junior who prepped at Jackson County Western High School, raced to her season best time in the 1,500 meters. She completed her race in 4:56.86.

Angela Morrison will be in action in Naperville next week as she seeks to improve on her score in the heptathlon.
