Andrew Bill and Allison Snyder will represent Albion College as individuals in the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships on Saturday.
Bill and Snyder were among the top seven runners from the region who were not part of a qualifying team.
Principia College is hosting the championships at the North Farm Facility in Elsah, Ill. The men's race will begin at 12 p.m. Eastern time followed by the women's race at 1:15 p.m. Eastern time.
Bill, a sophomore from Berkley, Mich., will be making his second run in the national meet. He finished the 8K course in the NCAA Championships in 25:23.7 last year, good for 101st among individuals.
Bill finished seventh in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Championship Nov. 11, reaching the line in 25:36.
"Andrew had a fantastic race to finish top 10 in the region," Albion Head Coach Derick Lawrence said. "He really fought to stick with the leaders and is fired up to get back to the national stage."
Snyder, a senior from Albion, Mich., who prepped at Jackson County Western High School, finished 12th in the regional meet with a time of 22:49.
"Allison had the best race of her life," Lawrence said. "Her race was absolutely phenomenal and she truly gave it her all to try and qualify for nationals."
