ALBION, Mich. – Albion College took advantage of the opportunity to play softball games for the first time in more than a week on Sunday. The Britons managed nine hits in the two games as it took 2-1 and 11-3 losses in non-league action at North Park University.
All of the scoring was done in the third inning.
North Park responded by getting its first two batters on base in the bottom half of the inning. Those runners scored on a one-out single by Ashley Campos.
Albion couldn't get a runner past second base the rest of the game.
North Park scored three or more runs in three of the five innings.
Albion is scheduled to make up a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association doubleheader at Hope College on Monday and then return home on Wednesday for a 3:30 doubleheader against Trine University.
