ALMA, Mich. – Eight players scored goals for Albion College Wednesday night as the Britons walked off with a 22-4 victory over Alma College in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's lacrosse action.
It was the fifth win in a row for Albion which improved to 9-3 overall and 3-0 against MIAA rivals.
Sheklow and Okon scored in the first two minutes of the game and Albion never trailed. Albion scored 11 in a row to pull away for a 13-1 lead with 8 ½ minutes left in the first half.
First-year goalkeeper Alexi Robinson collected five saves.
Albion returns home for a 4 o'clock Saturday MIAA game against Olivet College.
Joe and Julie Serra have given a $5 million leadership gift to launch a fundraising initiative to make two dreams a reality at Albion College. The first is a newly expanded fitness and student activity facility at the site of the current Dow Recreation and Wellness Center. The second is a new or renovated competition facility for the volleyball, men's basketball and women's basketball that currently call Kresge Gymnasium home.
