FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) announced that a record-breaking 1,969 student-athletes from its nine member institutions have been named to the 2024-25 MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
Two hundred and twenty Albion student-athletes earned this recognition, which was the fourth-highest total in the conference behind Hope (318), Calvin (308) and Trine (283).
To qualify for the Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must achieve a minimum 3.5 grade-point average for the academic year and earn a varsity letter in an MIAA-sponsored sport.
In addition to their academic achievements, MIAA student-athletes continued to excel athletically. A total of 359 student-athletes earned varsity letters in multiple sports, including 36 from Albion, while 137 were recognized as three-sport letterwinners during the 2024-25 academic year, which include 21 Britons.
More than 1,110 student-athletes were named to the Academic Honor Roll for a second year or more, demonstrating sustained academic excellence across their collegiate careers.
Since first recognizing the Academic Honor Roll in 1990-91, the MIAA has seen its numbers steadily increase, reflecting the conference's commitment to academic and athletic excellence.
