Dave Egnatuk is in his 38th year as a member of the AlbionCollege men's track & field coaching staff. He moved toassistant coach in 2011 as Lance Coleman began leading the programas head coach.

During the 2004 season, Egnatuk led Albion to its eighthMichigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association championship duringhis tenure. Egnatuk also coached Nick Morgan to a nationalchampionship in the 110-meter high hurdles and Ivan Meiring toAll-America status after a third place performance in the discusthrow at the NCAA Division III Championships.

In all, the individual achievements during Egnatuk's coachingcareer are numerous - 16 MIAA Most Valuable Track Performers, morethan 100 all-MIAA selections, seven league records, 31all-Americans and five NCAA Division III nationalchampions.

In 31 seasons, Egnatuk's teams have posted a 128-30 record inMIAA dual meet competition. Finishing near the top of the MIAA'sfinal standings has almost become an annual event at Albion. Since1978, Albion has finished either first or second in the league inall but two years. 

A 1971 graduate of Albion, Egnatuk returned to join theAlbion staff in the fall of 1974 after receiving his M.A. degreefrom the University of Southern California. He also earned a M.A.degree in physical education from Eastern Michigan University in1978.

As a student at Albion, Egnatuk was a member of both thetrack and field and football teams. As a tailback, Egnatuk earnedthe distinction as the league's Most Valuable Player as a senior in1970. His 1970 rushing total of 1,079 yards in nine contests stoodas a school record for 19 seasons. 

Egnatuk and his wife Mary Anne, a 1976 Albion graduate,reside in Albion with their three daughters.
