Steven Krohn-Kline started as the new Assistant AD for Athletics Communications at Albion in August 2025.
Krohn-Kline came to Albion from Albany, N.Y. where he worked as social media manager for the State University of New York (SUNY) for two years, which is the largest public university system in the nation.
In his role, Krohn-Kline led strategic content development, strategy and digital enhancement while engaging partners across 64 campuses and system administration offices to collect, curate and produce content to reach over 300,000 undergraduate students.
He also grew SUNY's total social media following by nearly 19% and developed a video content strategy that generated over 450,000 plays.

Prior to working for the SUNY system, Krohn-Kline spent a year at Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. where he was the assistant director of digital content in the department of advancement. There, he designed digital strategies to engage alumni, donors and corporate partners that generated 1.7 million impressions and 139,000 engagements while helping raise over $300,000 for the university.
Krohn-Kline spent the first five years of his professional career working in sports information, most recently at Division III Marymount University in Arlington, Va. as assistant director of athletics communications before being promoted to associate director. Throughout his two years at Marymount, he spearheaded a data-driven social media strategy that led to a 156% increase in Facebook reach and supported live event production of over 80 sporting events. Krohn-Kline also served as the athletic department's lead graphic designer and video editor while directing a 20-person student staff.
From 2018-20, Krohn-Kline worked as a sports information assistant at his alma mater, Elmira College, in New York while working on his master's. There, he supported communications efforts for 20 varsity programs while leading visual content production and assisting in a department-wide rebranding initiative.
Krohn-Kline's first position post-graduation was as an athletic communications assistant at Lafayette College in Easton, Pa. where he was the main contact for seven sports and developed individual social media plans that boosted program visibility.
As an undergraduate at Elmira, Krohn-Kline worked as a student assistant in the sports information department all four years. He received his bachelor's in economics and business administration in 2017 while graduating magna cum laude, and his master's in management in 2020 from Elmira as well.
The Buffalo, N.Y. native graduated from Cardinal O'Hara High School in 2013, where he played volleyball and baseball.
Krohn-Kline and his wife, Allie, were married this summer and reside in Jackson.
