LANSING – Mitch Clinton achieved a 26-second personal record as Albion College runners challenged the Forest Akers course for the Spartan Invitational. Clinton reached the finish line in 26 minutes, 6 seconds for a 32-second improvement over last year.

Completing Albion's top seven were: Alex Dermody (28:14), Drew Snider (28:42), Erik Davis (28:54), Kyle Braun (29:37), Jon Wylie (30:10), and Mark Cardy (32:27).

Albion will run against all of its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rivals for the first time this season Sept. 27 when the squads gather in Kalamazoo for the league jamboree.
