CHARLOTTE, Mich. – Albion College opened the cross country season by running in an unscored meet at the Broadway Acres Golf Course.

Zach Reynolds , a first-year runner from Ann Arbor, led the Britons in his collegiate debut. He reached the finish in 16:30. Two more first-year runners, Brandon Gary and Chase Baumgardner, reached the finish line in close to 17 minutes.

Leaha Sinnaeve was the eighth woman to reach the finish line, completing her race in 20:03. Taylor Anhalt was the second Briton to finish in 21:44.

Albion's top runners will go to the starting line Saturday morning in Grand Rapids.
