Adcock Takes Third in 500 Freestyle to Pace Britons at Wooster Invitational

Casey Adcock notched the fourth-fastest time in the 500 freestyle in Albion history at the Wooster Invitational.
WOOSTER, Ohio – Casey Adcock made an impression.

Facing nine other teams at the Wooster Invitational, the freshman took third in the 500 freestyle A final with a mark of 5:13.68 at the Chris Mathew Aquatics Center.

It was the fourth-best time in Albion history in the event.

Adcock also edged out Mount Union senior Abby Calaway, who is the three-time defending Ohio Athletic Conference champion in the event.

McKinley Levandoski (5:51.93), Leah Gray (5:52.05) and Lilly Marvin (6:38.78) also competed in the 500 freestyle in prelims but did not qualify for any of the finals.

Alyssa Glaser swam in the prelims in the 200 IM (2:33.91), while Kirstie Symons also represented the Britons in the 50 freestyle (31.60) in the morning session.

Up Next
Albion will compete in Day 2 of the Wooster Invitational on Friday, December 5. Prelims begin at 10 a.m., while finals take place starting at 6 p.m.
