Casey Adcock was looking for a trifecta.
After earning the fourth-fastest mark in program history in the 500 freestyle and eighth-quickest in the 100 breaststroke during the first two days of the Wooster Invitational, the freshman sought a top 10 time in the mile.
Fortunately, Adcock delivered as she was the runner-up in the event with a mark of 17:59.44 which is third best in team history and the fastest since Rachel Restum in 2010.
Kaitlyn Kreb and
McKinley Levandoski earned spots in the C final of the 200 backstroke and 100 freestyle, respectively, while
Alyssa Glaser took seventh in the A final of the 200 breaststroke (2:38.91).
Leah Gray swam a 2:38.94 in the 200 butterfly B final, and the 400 freestyle relay quartet of
Lilly Marvin, Kreb, Adcock and Levandoski recorded a 3:54.01.
Overall, the Britons placed 10
th as a team with 257 points during the three-day meet with host Wooster winning it (1628.5).
At Kalamazoo, the divers took part in the Hornet Diving Invitational. The two-day meet featured 1 and 3-meter competition with 11 dives in each event.
Wen Wadsworth-Curcuru shined in both, as she took the crowns in the 1 (455.90) and 3-meter (465.05) and marked her 12
th victories of the season.
Mia Carone placed sixth in the 1-meter (395.45) and seventh in the 3-meter (363.10).
Alyssa Schafer recorded an eighth-place finish in the 3-meter (342.75) and second in the 1-meter consolation final (349.90).
