Albion, Mich. - The Albion Men's Soccer team picked up a 1-0 victory over the Bulldogs on Senior Day. The Brits return to the field on Tuesday October 27th for the regular finale season at Trine.
Christian Orpineda led the Brits with five shots and a goal, while four other Brits had one shot each.
Tom Veresh added three saves to help lead the Brits to victory.
The Brits would strike early in the game when Orpineda would control the ball down the side and make a defender miss to score on the first shot of the game. The Bulldogs would battle to try and even the score, taking four shots, however the Brits defense would hold their 1-0 lead into the half.
The Bulldogs would continue to look for the game tying goal, taking five in the first 15 minutes of the second half, while allowing the Brits to take just one. The Brits would give up just two more shots in the game with neither finding the goal. The Brits would go on to win 1-0 and take home a senior day victory.
