About Emily: This is Emily's second season of Track & Field at Albion College. Emily is also a member of the Albion College Cross Country team.
High School Standout Achievements:
- School record holder in 4x800m relay
- 1st team All-Conference in 800m run
- 2nd team All-Conference in 4x800m relay and 4x400m relay
- MVP for 2013 and 2014 track seasons
- Graduated Salutatorian in class of 700
High School Personal Records:
Why Emily chose Albion College? -I chose Albion College not only for its superior academics, but also for its small size. I attended a high school with over 2,500 people, so I wished to be parted of a smaller and more close-knit community, a criterion that Albion met. In addition, I wanted to continue my running career past high school. Out of the many schools that I visited, Albion stood out to me as the perfect school to pursue all of my interests.
What does Emily like most about ACTF? -The team. I have made so many friends and memories because of the wonderful people with whom I practice and compete.
What is Emily's favorite travel/competition story? -I have too many to pick a favorite, but one of my most memorable parts of cross country was Regionals of my 2014 cross country season. Not only did I get a PR, but my teammates all had breakthrough races. Everyone was simply so happy afterwards!
