Albion, Volunteer Assistant Coach |
Sarah Epplett (LaFoe) enters her fourth season as volunteer assistant coach at Albion for the 2026-27 season.
Epplett also serves as Albion's assistant director of philanthropy after starting her professional career as an admissions counselor at the College in 2023.
A four-year swimmer at The University of Olivet from 2019-23, Epplett helped the Comets score points each year at the MIAA Championships in breaststroke, freestyle and relay events. Her best individual finish at the conference meet was 12th in the 100 breaststroke in 2022.
While at Olivet, Epplett was a four-year team representative on the Student Athlete Advisory Council and assisted with fundraising and team building activities. She also served as a student assistant in Olivet's sports information department compiling game statistics, maintaining livestream broadcasts and photography. Additionally, she assisted with the Marshall Swim Club from 2021-23 — coaching individuals ages 6-18 at all levels.
Epplett graduated with a mathematics degree and minor in coaching from Olivet in 2023 with a 3.91 GPA and wrote her honors thesis on the "Most Influential Baseball Statistic." She was also the Mathletes Club president as a senior, vice president of the math and science honor society, Sigma Zeta, and global citizenship honors program graduate.
A native of San Marcos, Calif., Epplett graduated from Mission Hills High School in 2019.
