Kristin Slamer-de St. Aubin enters her 14th season at the helm of the Albion volleyball program in 2025.

In 2023, she also became Albion's assistant athletic director for compliance and senior women's administrator.

Slamer-de St. Aubin has helped the Britons become one of the most consistent teams in the highly competitive MIAA and has led the program to new heights. Despite just 13 wins over her first three seasons, Albion has finished with a winning record in eight of the last 10 years -- including back-to-back 20-win campaigns from 2022-23.

They have also earned a spot in the MIAA Tournament each season since 2017, culminating with the program's first-ever championship game appearance in 2022.

Slamer-de St. Aubin has coached two AVCA All-Americans, three AVCA All-Region selections and 14 All-MIAA honorees.

Two Britons claimed second-team All-MIAA honors in 2024. Paige Williamson collected her second consecutive spot on the all-conference team after leading the MIAA in both service aces (48) and digs (672). Carly Frank also received recognition, as she finished fourth in the conference with 303 kills.

For the second consecutive year, the MIAA Freshman of the Year belonged to a Briton as Kayda Herrick earned the honor in 2024 as well by leading all freshmen in the conference in kills with 297.

In 2023, Slamer-de St. Aubin led Albion to their best regular season MIAA finish in program history as the Britons earned a 7-1 league mark and finished second in the conference standings. Along the way, they upset No. 9-ranked Calvin, 3-1, for their first win over a top-10 ranked opponent in program history and Albion's first over the Knights since 2001.

Slamer-de St. Aubin also earned her 150th career coaching victory with a 3-0 win over Buffalo State on September 2.

That season, a program-record five players were named to the All-MIAA team. Albion was led by AVCA honorable mention All-American and first-team All-Region selection Olivia Alexander, who finished the season with 418 kills.

Alexander became just the second All-American in program history.

Mariah Brenz was also named to the All-Region team and was a first-team All-MIAA selection. Ja'Nyece Larry, Kaylynne Nicholson and Williamson each earned second-team honors, and Williamson was named the MIAA Freshman of the Year.

The 2022 squad was perhaps the best in program history, as they won a school-record 25 games and reached the MIAA Championship game for the first time ever after defeating Hope, 3-0, in the conference semifinals.

That season, Chloe Webber became the program's first All-American as she earned honorable mention accolades from the AVCA. In addition, she was named first-team All-Region and All-MIAA and won the conference's Senior Impact Award after posting the best hitting percentage (.373) and total blocks (124) in the MIAA.

Mariah Brenz also became Albion's first volleyball Academic All-American in 2022, and the Britons finished top 25 in Division III in total blocks (240) and hitting percentage (.244).

Slamer-de St. Aubin led the Britons to their first 20-win campaign since 1986 in 2021, as Webber became the program's first-ever All-Region selection after leading the MIAA in blocks per set (1.06) and finishing second in hitting percentage (.318). Webber and Alexander teammed up to receive first-team All-MIAA honors, and Grace VanDorn earned the conference's Senior Impact Award.

The COVID-shortened 2020 season saw Webber earn first-team All-MIAA honors for the first time and Kate Winter receiving the inaugural MIAA Senior Impact Award. Slamer-de St. Aubin also picked up her 100th career victory on April 20, 2021 with a 3-0 win over Adrian.

In 2019, Albion was one of Division III's best blocking units as they finished the season ranked ninth in blocks per set (2.26). Winter received first-team All-MIAA recognition after finishing with 318 kills, while Grace VanDorn picked up second-team honors.

Four Britons earned All-MIAA accolades in 2018, lead by first-team recipients Taylor Rosenthal and Monica Shuk. Rosenthal led the conference in hitting percentage (.334) while Shuk finished third in digs per set (4.80) and graduated as the program's all-time career leader in digs (2,174).

In 2017, Slamer-de St. Aubin led the Britons to their first appearance in the MIAA Tournament since 2009. She also achieved a career milestone and became the winningest coach in program history.

That year, Shuk became the first Albion player to win an individual MIAA award as she took home the conference's Defensive MVP honor along with first-team All-MIAA recognition by helping the Britons rank first in the MIAA in digs (1,922).

In 2016, Slamer-de St. Aubin's squad racked up 19 wins which was the most for the program in a single season since 1986. Ami Milligan and Shuk earned first-team and second-team All-MIAA honors, respectively, while the team finished 19th in Division III in digs per set (19.1). Milligan also earned AVCA Division III National Player of the Week during a stretch in mid-October.

Albion won 16 games in 2015, their most in a single season since 2009. Shuk also became the first Briton since that same year to earn All-MIAA recognition, as she received second-team honors.

Prior to Albion, Slamer-de St. Aubin was the head volleyball coach at Loy Norrix High School in Kalamazoo for three seasons from 2009-11 where she was also a health education teacher and a regional club director. In 2010, she doubled the program's win total from the previous season and led the team to one of the highest team GPAs of any squad at the school.

She had four players receive All-Southwestern Michigan Athletic Conference (SMAC) recognition in arguably one of the toughest Class A conferences in the state.

Slamer-de St. Aubin got her start in coaching as an assistant coach at Northern Michigan for two seasons from 2007-08. In her time with the program, the Wildcats posted back-to-back 20-win seasons while earning spots in the NCAA Tournament both seasons along with being nationally ranked.

She coached an All-American, three All-Region selections and nine All-GLIAC players along with an AVCA National Player of the Week. In addition to her assistant coaching duties, Slamer-de St. Aubin ran high school camps and clinics, held recruiting and scouting responsibilities, was responsible for monitoring academic progress of student-athletes, facilitated and monitored athletes strength and conditioning, coordinated team travel and served as an instructor in the health, physical education and recreation department.

Slamer-de St. Aubin graduated from Albion in 2007 with a degree in K-12 physical education and secondary health education. She played four years on the Briton volleyball team from 2003-06 and started in her final three seasons along with being a team captain. In 2004, she tallied 27 kills against Tri-State (now Trine), which still stands the MIAA record for a four-set match. As a senior in 2006, she earned honorable mention All-MIAA honors and graduated as the program's career leader in digs (1,121).

In 2015, Slamer-de St. Aubin earned a master’s degree in educational leadership from Western Michigan University.

Slamer-de St. Aubin was inducted into Albion's Athletics Hall of Fame in 2024. Her twin sister, Sarah, was a three-time All-MIAA selection and graduated as the program's all-time leader in career kills (1,185). She was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2023.

Slamer-de St. Aubin and her husband, Josh, reside in Marshall with their children, Landon and Marley. Her father, Al, is the current running backs coach for the Albion football team.
