OBERLIN, Ohio – The Albion College cross country teams will take confidence into the Oct. 27 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships after a fine performance in the Inter-Regional Rumble.

Amanda Weaver became the first Albion woman to break the 22-minute barrier at the 6K distance. She was the 13^th runner (out of 270) to reach the finish line in 21:59.80.

Albion finished 14^th out of 30 women's teams. Victoria Sochor and Rachel Derocher were separated by three seconds at the finish line. Sochor was the 85^th runner to reach the finish line (23:16.80), while Derocher was 89^th (23:19.40).

Theresa Hencsie and Amanda Miley completed Albion's top five with times of 23:53.40 and 24:16.20, respectively.
