CONCORD – Albion College had three of the top 14 runners in the men's race, but a gap of nearly a minute and a half between the No. 1 finisher and the No. 5 man cost the Britons in the team standings in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Cross Country Championship. The Britons had to settle for fourth place behind Calvin College, Hope College, and Adrian College.

Paul Lewis was the ninth man to finish the 8K course, crossing the finish line in 25 minutes, 19 seconds. Mitchell Klingler and Matt Melvin were not far behind at 25:25 and 25:35, respectively. All three achieved all-MIAA second team status.

Albion did not have a runner cross the finish line for a minute as Kendall Maddox completed his race in 26:35. Mitch Clinton was the fifth Briton at 26:44.
