BATTLE CREEK – Taylor Margolis, Jake Bloom, and Taylor DesEnfants all scored in the 70s Saturday as Albion posted a 315 total in the second day of the Lou Collins Invitational at the Beford Valley Country Club.
The Britons' Saturday score was a six-stroke improvement over their first round total. Albion finished 11th in the team standings with a 36-hole score of 636.
Margolis turned in Albion's low score for the tournament with rounds of 79 and 76. Bloom and DesEnfants added rounds of 79 Saturday. Bloom finished the tournament with a 157 total.
Alex Archer, who was entered as an individual, finished with a 156 total after rounds of 75 and 81.
Albion jumps into Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association action Sept. 8 with a jamboree at Kalamazoo.
