NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Amanda Weaver is in fine position for first team status in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association by finishing fifth in the league jamboree Friday.
Running against nationally-ranked teams from Calvin College and Hope College, Weaver worked her way to fifth place as she completed the 6K course in 22 minutes, 32 seconds.
Victoria Sochor, Albion's No. 2 runner, was 1:04 behind Weaver in finishing 21st. Rachel Derocher and Megan Wickens were sepated by two seconds as the 39th and 40th runners to the finish line. Laura Kelly was the fifth runner for the Albion women.
The Britons finished fourth in the team standings.
