HILLSDALE, Mich. - Mitchell Klingler and Paul Lewis ran second and third, respectively, overall as Albion College finished just two points behind Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association power Calvin College in the Michigan Intercollegiate Championships.

Albion finished fourth in the team standings with a total of 103. Saginaw Valley (50), Hillsdale (83), and Calvin (101) were the top three teams.

Despite running on an afternoon with the high temperature at least 10 degrees above normal, Klingler turned in what coach Hayden Smith called "an amazing time" of 26:15 to finish six seconds behind a runner from Mott Community College. Lewis reached the finish line in 26:27.

Mitch Clinton (28:18), Bradley Baker (28:36) and Erik Davis (28:57.05) completed Albion's top five.
