GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Albion College first-year runner Jessica Shaw completed a fine inaugural season at the collegiate level Saturday by finishing 36th in the Great Lakes Regional Cross Country Championship. Shaw reached the finish line in 22:54.1, breaking the 23-minute mark for the first time this season.
Shaw helped Albion to an 18th place finish out of 33 teams in the meet.
Megan Wickens was the second Briton to reach the finish line, coming in 82nd overall with a time of 23:46.4, which was two seconds faster than her time at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championship. Victoria Sochor (24:09.8), Rachel Derocher (24:59.1) and Theresa Hencsie (25:38.9) completed Albion's top five.
