HOLLAND, Mich. – Jessica Shaw made an impressive debut at the collegiate level, finishing third as Albion College finished third out of four teams in the Vanderbilt Invitational.
Shaw reached the finish line in 18:49, six seconds off the pace set by runner-up Julie Oosterhouse from Cornerstone.
Albion finished third out of four teams in the meet. Victoria Sochor was the 11th runner to reach the finish, crossing the line in 19:50. Megan Wickens (19:53), Rachel Derocher (20:34), and Emily Morlock (20:40) completed Albion's top five.
Albion will travel to Delaware, Ohio, for a Sept. 7 meet involving teams from the Great Lakes Colleges Association.
