OLIVET, Mich. – Seniors Amy Bell and Julie Okorn, sophomore Anna Hargrove and first-year swimmer Kylene Slocum all won two events to power Albion College to a 169-106 victory over Olivet College in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's swimming & diving dual meet.
Bell swept the 1- and 3-meter diving events, Hargrove touched the wall first in the 100-yard backstroke and 200 individual medley, and Okorn and Slocum were members of the winning 400 freestyle relay. Individually, Okorn was the winner of the 200 breaststroke and Slocum in the 100 breaststroke.
Albion also received first-place points from Haley DeFeyter in the 1,000 freestyle, MacKenzie Chesley in the200 butterfly, and Laura Steavenson in the 500 freestyle.
Albion will now turn its attention to the MIAA Championships, set for Feb. 12-15 at Calvin College.
