WEST OLIVE, Mich. – Connor Maddalena shot a 2-over par 73 – the best score by any Albion College golfer so far this season – to finish in a tie for fifth place on the individual leader board in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's golf jamboree played at the Wuskowhan Players Club.

Maddalena's round included a pair of birdies. He scored a 4 on the par 5 No. 7 and a 2 on the par 3 No. 11.

Albion finished sixth in the team standings with a 315 total. Ryan Bomya and Brandon Rincon finished the day with rounds of 80 and Tyler Covell and Ben Martenson added rounds of 82.

The final MIAA jamboree of the fall is set for Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek.
