GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Albion College finished fourth in the women's 800 freestyle relay in the opening session of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Swimming & Diving Championships.

Julie Okorn, Jourden Burke, Laura Steavenson, and Anna Hargrove completed the race in a season-best time of 7:54.81.

"I'm looking forward to seeing how we race the remainder of the meet," Albion Coach Jake Taber said. "Our depth is a strength of ours in a meet with this format."

The MIAA Championships continue Thursday morning with preliminary heats in the 500 freestyle, 200 individual medley and 50 freestyle.
