WINNECONNE, Wis. - Albion's top four runners in a pre-national meet finished in a 38-second window Saturday.
Mitch Clinton was the first Briton to finish the 8K course, reaching the finish line in 26:17. He was followed closely by Erik Davis (26:23), Alex Dermody (26:35) and Andrew Wittland (26:55). Brett Navarre was the fifth Albon runner, crossing the line at 27:08.
Albion finished 32nd out of 45 teams.
Albion will return to competition against its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rivals Oct. 31 when it runs in the league championship meet at Olivet.
