Clinton Finishes Fifth In MIAA Championship

CHARLOTTE, Mich. – Mitch Clinton achieved all-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association first team status for the second year in a row when he was the fifth man to reach the finish line in the league's cross country championship meet.

A senior from Plymouth, Clinton completed the 8K course in 25:31.4. That was just 18 seconds off the pace set by Calvin College's Zachary Nowicki.

Albion finished fourth in the team standings with a 114 total. Calvin (20), Hope College (55) and Trine University (99) were the top three teams.

Next up for the Britons is the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship in Terre Haute, Ind. That meet is scheduled for Nov. 14.
