CHESTERTON, Ind. – Sarah Kilbride won two individual events and swam on the 200 medley relay and Anna Moore won the 200 backstroke and was a member of the winning relays to lead Albion College to victories over Carthage College, 173-125, and the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, 201-86, in non-league dual meets.
Kilbride touched the wall first in the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley and she was the runner up to Mary Noble in the 200 butterfly. Kilbride and Moore were joined by Kylene Slocum and Amy Kraussman on the medley relay.
Slocum scored first place in the 100 breaststroke.
Anna Hargrove led Albion in the 200 freestyle. Abigail Slager was third and Camila Manrique was fourth.
"The depth on the women's side was a strength. There were events where we could have had four or five score (but teams were limited to entering three)," Albion Head Coach Jake Taber said. "We have more event winners than we've had in the past."
Taber noted the Britons have a challenging schedule for the remainder of the fall semester. Albion's next meet is a Nov. 6-7 quadrangular in Grand Rapids, Mich., against Calvin College, Carthage and Ohio Northern University. The Britons next dual is a Nov. 14 meet at Kalamazoo College, and they travel to Carthage for an end of semester invitational the first weekend of December.
