MARSHALL, Mich. – Kurt Swaton and Joey Hutchins finished in the top 10 to lead Albion College runners in a non-scored meet against Olivet College.
Swaton was the fifth runner to complete the 5K course, reaching the finish line in 16:51.91. Hutchins was 10th in 18 minutes. Drew Snider, Jon Haadsma, and Chase Schweyer completed Albion's top five.
"Kurt ran with guts," Albion Head Coach Derick Lawrence said. "He got out very well and stayed on the heels of Olivet's top runner.
"It was great seeing a sea of purple out there," Lawrence added. "Our guys worked very well together throughout the race"
