MARSHALL, Mich. – Leaha Sinnaeve was the second runner to cross the finish line as Albion College started the cross country season by participating in a non-scored meet against runners from Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rivals Olivet College and Saint Mary's College.

Sinnaeve completed the 5K course in 21:15.47. Hunter Williams was 15^th (22:23.18).

"Leaha ran a smart race in the hot and muggy conditions," Albion Coach Derick Lawrence said. "She started out in around eighth position at the mile and worked her way up the entire race.  A great start to her freshman season.  Six of the seven ladies competing today had their collegiate debut and I was very proud to see the efforts put forth on the course today."
