HOLLAND, Mich. – Albion College achieved first place in the 200 medley and 200 butterfly during the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Relays.
Anna Moore, Kylene Slocum, Sarah Kilbride and Abigail Slager achieved a time of 1:50.72 to win the event by a second over the team from Kalamazoo.
Moore and Kilbride were joined by Mary Noble and Alexandra Horman as the Britons achieved a time of 1:49.81 to win the buttefly.
"The women were scrappy tonight," Albion Head Coach Jake Taber said. "The butterfly and medley relays were exciting.
"Kylene had a great meet," Taber added. "She's picking up where she left off last season. She came into the year in great shape and is splitting on relays very close to the best swims of her life. It's a testament to her work ethic."
Albion was the runner-up in the 200 backstroke (Nicole McCann, Noble, Katelyn Killewald and Moore), 500 freestyle (McCann, Slager, Horman and Katie Ferrero) and 400 medley (Kilbride, Horman, Slager and Noble).
Albion will travel to Alma next Saturday for its first MIAA dual meet of the season.
