GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Anna Hargrove continued to edit the Albion College swimming records as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships continued Thursday.
A night after getting a school record in the 800 freestyle relay, the senior from Milan, Mich., added records in the 200 IM and 400 medley relay. Her third place time in the IM was 2:09.32 and she joined Anna Moore, Kylene Slocum and Sarah Kilbride to set a 3:55.67 time in the relay.
"Anna is on fire right now," Head Coach Jake Taber said. "It's exciting to see her in her last MIAA Championship racing the way she is. Maybe more important is being the leader she is. She has this team up and ready."
Albion is getting contributions throughout the lineup as it rolled up 188 points to sit fourth in the team standings.
Kilbride and Abby Slager joined Hargrove in the IM final. Kilbride completed her race in 2:11.23 to finish fifth and Slager was eighth in 2:15.83.
Lauren Pawelec sprinted to a fifth-place time of 24.86 seconds in the 50 freestyle.
