BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - Connor Maddalena got off to a quick start at the Lou Collins Memorial Tournament with a solid 2-over 74 at Bedford Valley Country Club. He currently sits in a tie for 11th with the leaders currently at an impressive 1-under 71.
"Connor played really well and consistently, made three birdies, and led us well," Head Coach Jordan McArleton said. "He's a true senior leader, and we'll need him to play his best for us to be successful. All in all, a good start to the year for getting some bad shots out of the way. I expect better things tomorrow."
Other contributors for the Brits were Jake Hinkle (80), Justin Leeds (81), and Jim Chapman (82). Albion sits in eighth after a first round 317 which is 11 shots behind Trine University.
The final round of the Lou Collins will have a 9:30 am shotgun start tomorrow.
