GRAND RAPIDS – First-year runner Andrew Bill made an impressive debut, finishing fourth overall, to help Albion College to a third place team finish in a men's cross country meet hosted by Calvin College.
A Berkley High School product, Bill reached the finish of the 8K course in 25:54.9.
James Weekley, a first-year runner from Farmington Hills and Harrison High School, was the 22nd runner to finish (26:40.4), and he was closely followed by Alex Dermody (26:47.1), Andrew Wittland (26:55.7), Kurt Swaton (26:56.3) and Adam Ditri (26:57.9).
Next up for Albion is the MIAA Jamboree at the Pine River Country Club in Alma. The meet will be contested Sept. 24.
