BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – Justin Kapke produced a round of 76 in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men's Golf Fall Championship Friday to complete the season as an all-MIAA first team award winner.
The tournament's second round, scheduled for Saturday, was canceled by rain.
A first-year golfer from Canton, Mich., Kapke achieved a 73.8-stroke average to finish sixth in the MIAA for the season. He becomes the first all-MIAA first team award winner from Albion College since Scott Merritt in 2011.
Albion finished sixth with a 319 total. Ryan Bomya, Jake Hinkle and Soti Michalos all produced rounds of 81.
Albion also finished sixth in the MIAA's standings for the season.
