Swimmers finish season's first half

YPSILANTI, Mich. – First-year swimmer Amanda Quitos dropped half a second to finish fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke during Saturday action in the Eastern Michigan University Invitational. She finished the race in 1:09.94.

Quitos also helped Albion gain fifth place in the 200 medley relay. Kaitlind Hooper, Quitos, Rileigh Eding and Lexie Seidel achieved a time of 1:55.20.

The Britons also dropped a half second in the 200 free relay with Eding, Quitos, Hooper and Seidel set  time of 1:44.38.

The EMU Invitational brings the first half of the Albion swimming season to a close. The Britons will have home dual meets against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rivals Calvin College and Kalamazoo College in January.
