EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Albion College cross country team went up against Division I runners from Michigan State University and the Mid-American Conference in the Spartan Invitational Friday.
The results show Leaha Sinnaeve as Albion's top runner. She completed the 6K course in 24:31.6.
"Leaha was our standout runner. She continually passed individuals throughout the race and competed hard," Albion Coach Derick Lawrence said.
The others in Albion's top seven included Aubret Hamstreet (25:03.6), Allison Snyder (25:38.2), Jordan Revenaugh (26:22.9), Rachel Holt (26:56.2), Kasmyn VanMaanen (27:54.8) and Kendra Cook (28:33.7).
"Jordan Revenaugh and Rachel Holt ran great in their first 6k event of their college careers. It will be fun to see the progress they will make throughout this season," Lawrence said.
Albion will get its first look at its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rivals next Saturday, Sept. 23, when it travels to Holland, Mich., for the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree.
