Eding, Quitos lead Britons in Florida women's swim meet

ORLANDO, Fla. – Rileigh Eding and Amanda Quitos gained first place in relay and individual events as Albion College completed its semester break training trip with a 116-83 loss to the State University of New York Geneseo.

Swimming with Anna Moore and Sarah Kilbride, Eding and Quitos scored a winning time of 1:52.00 in the 200-yard medley relay.

Individually, Eding sprinted to victory in the 50 freestyle (24.86) and Quitos was awarded first place points in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.80).

Albion was also awarded first place points in the 200 freestyle relay. Nicole McCann, Abigail Slager, Alexandra Horman and Grace Siefker achieved a time of 1:45.10.

Albion will take the pool against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rivals at home for the next two weeks. The Britons will dive in the Dean Aquatic Center pool against Calvin College Jan. 13 and against Kalamazoo College on Jan. 20.
