JACKSON, Mich. – Soti Michalos shot 3-over par 75 in both rounds as Albion College finished eighth in the Irish Hills Invitational at The Grande Golf Club.

Albion was seventh after completing the first round with a 311 total, but Capital University was nine strokes better than the Britons on Saturday. Capital finished seventh with a 615 total, with Albion coming in with a 621 total.

Lawrence Tech was the team champion with a 583 total. Calvin College turned in the low score for a Division III team at 594, followed at Adrian College at 600.

Patrick Kelly was also consistent for the Britons with rounds of 75 and 76.

Jake Hinkle (79) and Justin Kapke (80) contributed to Albion's team score on Saturday.

Albion will begin competition against its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rivals with a round at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Ind., next Saturday.
