ALMA, Mich. – Albion College had the top three finishers in the 1,000-yard freestyle and the 200 freestyle and that set the tone for the women's swimming and diving team to score a 162-102 victory over Alma College in a dual meet.
- Ashley Ketchum, Megan Harvey and Emma Henninges swept the top three places in the 1,000 freestyle and Tia Ulieme, Nicky McCann and Angela McCauley did likewise in the 200 freestyle.
- Hannah Erickson, McCann and Mary Doyle were the top three in the 100 freestyle
- Other event winners for Albion were Rileigh Eding (50 backstroke, 50 butterfly), Sarah Griffiths (200 fly), Allison Dasky (50 freestyle), Megan Harvey (200 backstroke), Courtney Swingewood (200 breaststroke), Ketchum (500 freestyle)
Albion has a dual at Hillsdale College scheduled for Nov. 1.

Joe and Julie Serra have given a $5 million leadership gift to launch a fundraising initiative to make two dreams a reality at Albion College. The first is a newly expanded fitness and student activity facility at the site of the current Dow Recreation and Wellness Center. The second is a new or renovated competition facility for the volleyball, men's basketball and women's basketball teams that currently call Kresge Gymnasium home.
