GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Albion College men's swimming and diving team finished third in a quadrangular meet hosted by Calvin College.
Calvin was the top team with 1,258 ½ points. Carthage College was the runner up (813 ½) and then came Albion with 693 points.
In Saturday action:
- Chris Breem was third in the 1,650-yard freestyle
- Jake Huttenlocher was third in the 400 individual medley and fourth in the 200 breaststroke
- Ian Moran was second in the 200 back and third in the 100 back
- Jon Cronick was third in 3-meter diving
- Mac Robertson and Nate Cobb finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 200 freestyle
- Drew Fogel was fourth in the 200 butterfly
Albion has two home dual meets coming up. The Britons will dive in against Hope College (Nov. 13 at 6 p.m.) and Kalamazoo College (Nov. 15 at 6 p.m.).

Joe and Julie Serra have given a $5 million leadership gift to launch a fundraising initiative to make two dreams a reality at Albion College. The first is a newly expanded fitness and student activity facility at the site of the current Dow Recreation and Wellness Center. The second is a new or renovated competition facility for the volleyball, men's basketball and women's basketball teams that currently call Kresge Gymnasium home.
