Women swimmers gain honorable mention All-America status

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Tia Ulieme had a lifetime best leadoff swim in the preliminary and that carried the Albion College women's 200-yard freestyle relay team to the evening session where it achieved honorable mention All-America status with a 14th place finish in the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships.

Ulieme's morning split was 24.19 and Hannah Erickson (24.05), Allison Dasky (23.74) and Rileigh Eding (23.60) went even faster as Albion achieved the 15th fastest qualifying time (1:35.58).

The Britons went faster in the 'B' final in the evening at 1:35.41 Ulieme and Erickson set 24.24 splits, Dasky went 23.62 and Eding anchored in 23.31.

The relay becomes Albion's first swimming All-Americans since Terry Evelyn in 1995. Albion's last female All-American at the NCAA Championships was diver Emily Magyar in 2010.
