Women's Swimming and Diving

Albion's Swimming & Diving Team Off to Strong Start in Conference Championship

The Albion men's and women's teams got off to solid starts after the first day of the MIAA Swimming & Diving Championship Thursday night at the Venema Aquatic Center in Grand Rapids.

"It was a good start for us and I was happy with what we did," coach Nick Stone said. "Our relay teams swam well and I like where we are."

In the two final events Thursday, both the men's and women's 800-yard freestyle teams took third place. The men's team included Jake Huttenlocher, Tommy Trueax, Drew Fogel and Mac Robertson and posted a time of 6:52.46. The women's team featured Rileigh Eding, Samantha Swingewood, Alayna Hackman and Hannah Erickson and posted a time of 7:44.79.

Ciompetition continues through Saturday
