ALBION -- All it took was
Carter Peek netting his third goal of the season, as the Albion College men's soccer team defeated Alma College, 1-0. A penalty kick by the junior in the 63rd minute would be all the Britons would need.
Freshman goalkeeper
Anton Favre notched six saves in the match, collecting his first collegiate clean sheet.
Just a few minutes into the game, the Scots had one of their best looks at the goal. A loose ball in the box got past almost everyone before an Albion defender cleared the ball just before it crossed the goal line.
Albion had plenty of opportunities, however the Scot defenders and midfielders would step in front to block their shots.
The two teams played to a scoreless first half, despite Albion holding a significant advantage in shots and corners.
Albion concluded the match with 12 corners to Alma's none. The Britons also outshot the visitors, 20-6.
The Brits continue conference action this weekend when they travel to Adrian. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m.
