ALBION -- A chippy and intense match ultimately ended in a draw, as the Albion College men's soccer team battled Olivet College to a 1-1 tie. Heading into the final week of the regular season, the Britons now stand at 4-6-2 overall, 2-2-1 in the MIAA.
The visitors got on the board first with a penalty kick in the ninth minute. Olivet would maintain the lead for the remainder of the period.
Freshman
Nick Miller netted the equalizer in the 58th minute -- his first collegiate goal. Off a feed in the box from Stefan Isaveski, Miller rifled a shot that deflected off the Comet keeper to knot the score at one.
Late in the game,
Zabith Wilson came within inches of giving the Brits the lead on a strike from 30 yards out, but the Olivet keeper made a tremendous save to keep the match locked at one.
