HILLSDALE, Mich. -- On Saturday, the Albion College swimming and diving teams were back in the pool. The men's team defeated Wabash, 121-102, while the women's squad fell to Division II Hillsdale, 134-107.
Sage Gettings broke a pool record in the 100 yard butterfly, finishing in 58.14 and winning the event.
400 yard medley relay team of
Emily Merucci,
Mattie Smith,
Sage Gettings and
Hannah Fathman won with a time of 4:01.27.
Fathman also had an incredible showing in the 50 yard free, winning with a time of 25.15.
Lindsey Walicki won the 1 meter dive with a score of 172.60. Walicki also placed first in the 3 meter dive with a score of 148.90.
A time of 1:07.45 by
Mattie Smith won her the 100 yard breaststroke.
Russell Brown won the 1000 yard free, touching the wall at 10:26.13.
A time of 52.33 by
Declan Tharp in the 100 yard butterfly earned him a top spot.
Ethan Boersma was just behind him with a time of 53.98 in second place.
With a time of 1:48.51,
Nate Cobb won the 200 yard free.
In the 400 yard IM,
Noah Mitchell took first with a time of 4:27.15.
Kelvin Crone-Willis was just behind him in second, finishing at 4:28.43.
Justin Huttenlocher scored a 181.40 in the 1 meter dive. He added a score of 196.10 in the 3 meter dive for the Brits.
Both teams will be back in action Nov. 5-6 at the Calvin Quad.
