HOLLAND, Mich. -- It was a tough evening for the Albion College men's soccer team, falling 3-0 at Hope College Saturday night. The Flying Dutch were the MIAA preseason favorites.
In the sixth minute, Hope got on the board courtesy of an unassisted goal. The 1-0 tally would hold heading into half.
Out of the half, the Flying Dutch went on to tack on two more goals before the conclusion of the match. Albion registered seven shots, but could not put one on goal.
Anton Favre made five saves for the Britons.
The Britons will be on their home turf on Wednesday when they host Alma College. It will serve as Domestic Violence Awareness Night, where donations will be accepted for S.A.F.E. Place Battle Creek. Kick off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
